Why look after a rug

Do you have rugs that fit, do what they are supposed to do, and look good on your horse? I know I do, rugs that are worth looking after and I can rely on are important to looking after my girls, same for most horse owners.

I tried washing and proofing by hand using different products to save money with limited success, and settled on getting them professionally done every two years or every year if the seasons had been hard.

I’m not one for shopping although like most people the Internet can be very appealing so I succumbed,  but I found the newer the rug, in the average price range, so the fabric looked thinner and the rug had been made in China.

Not impressed!!  I don’t like air miles to say the least.

Here at Savvy Rug Washing I aim to save those decent rugs and return them to be used again and again and again.

A local service for local people looking after horse rugs.

My washing machines, dryer and sewing machines all come from local suppliers that I’ve got to know, and they have got to know me!  My washing and proofing products are the industry best and based in East Sussex.  Old rugs beyond use for whatever reason are washed, proofed, and used for repairs including the fixings.
